Default Year in review 2016

2016 was a busy year at Gaffg and our team. We end the note with our Gaffg Awards which was our 6th year of doing them. You can see the Gaffg Awards 2016 winners list here.

Designs & Relaunches

Through our SEO and designs through Horseshoe Agency we have launched these sites this year.

Along with new designs for these sites, some included new programming frameworks like Meteoer JS and MongoDB. 2017 should be another year filled with more designs and site launches.

This year saw record turnout for all the major igaming conferences
  • ICE 2016
  • London Affiliate Conference 2016
  • Amsterdam Affiliate Conference 2016
  • Berlin Affiliate Conference 2016
  • SiGMA 16

All have been worth attending with SiGMA 16 being a show that surprised everyone for attendance. There are a few more shows being added to the list along with the regulars of iGB conferences, ICE and SiGMA to include ViGE 2017.

2017 Outlook

We can expect to see more growth in the industry that will include more from mobile. Emerging markets should continue to grow and over the next few years to expect more regulation in grey markets. Lotteries are one of the last gaming verticals to progress and 2017 could be the breakout year for online lotteries. Affiliates should consider incorporating lotteries into their campaigns or starting a first lottery site. There are many more lottery affiliate programs being added this year and it's trending. Virtual Reality has been around for a few years although it's still a new marketplace. Expect to see more growth in virtual reality casinos and more players other than SlotsMillion onto the scene.

SEO Outlook 2017

It's hard to ignore what the top casinos and top affiliate sites are doing these days. Simply put links are still one of the dominant factors but it's not the only thing webmasters should focus on. Other important factors are User Experience, Site Speed and quality content. These 3 should be the driving force behind your sites for 2017 and beyond.
